The high-resolution, high-acceptance, kaon spectrometer (HKS) is designed to enable detailed studies of production of hypernuclei, and use that to understand properties of strange quarks. Prof. Liguang Tang (Hampton University) is co-spokesperson of JLab E01-011, for which the HKS was built. Descriptions and a recent presentation can be found at the links below:
