What is a Wiki?
According to Wikipedia, which ought to be something of an authority:
A wiki is software that allows users to create, edit, and link web pages easily. Wikis are often used to create collaborative websites and to power community websites. They are being installed by businesses to provide affordable and effective Intranets and for Knowledge Management. Ward Cunningham, developer of the first wiki, WikiWikiWeb, originally described it as “the simplest online database that could possibly work”. View the whole article here.
The VLHC Wiki is meant to knit together two related communities: LHC Online and the Virtual QuarkNet Center. It is the central, interactive repository of information for these two groups. Together with other Online Collaborative Tools, the VLHC Wiki allows these groups to work together independent of geography.
