Research Experiences for Teachers (TIRP-RET)

Accelerating Physics Education through Research

Professional Development through Research

The TIRP-RET program gives you a chance to develop yourself professionally by
participating in physics research.

Research experiences are up to six weeks long and may include:
  • Nuclear and particle physics research at Hampton University and/or Jefferson Lab
  • Research in collaboration with Hampton University undergraduates in the Undergraduates in Physics (UniPhy) program
  • A Physics Education initiative which you would help design
All research programs will be mentored by Hampton University faculty members or other qualified
physicists.
